Returns & Exchanges

At The Shopping Bag, we want you to be pleased with your purchase. If for any reason you are not completely satisfied, The Shopping Bag gladly accepts returns within 14 calendar days (including weekends) from the date you received your order. Returns must be received on or before the 14th day in order to be accepted. Please submit all return requests in ample time prior to the 14th day.

Need an exchange? After your return has been received and processed, place a new order for the style, size or color you want! Please note: We cannot guarantee the item(s) you want will be available when you place your new order.

Sale items, beauty/cosmetic, earrings, swimwear, and intimates marked FINAL SALE are not eligible for a refund, exchange, or store credit. All international orders shipping outside the United States are final sale and cannot be returned at this time.

We recognize that returns are important to our customers. To ensure a positive shopping experience for all our customers, if we identify an unreasonable return pattern, we may restrict or refuse future transactions from such customers at The Shopping Bag or at
All returned items (defective or not) must have the original packaging, tags, and accessories. Items must be returned unworn, unwashed, undamaged, unused, and with all original tags attached. When an item is returned to us and appears as though it has been worn, soiled, used in any way or if the tags have been taken off, no refund will be issued. Returns by mail will not be accepted unless a return was authorized by The Shopping Bag with a unique return authorization code.
Returns In-Store
We will gladly credit your purchase for the original price paid when it is presented with the original receipt or gift receipt to an associate in saleable condition and all original tags with 14 days of the date of purchase. Please retain your sales receipt so that we may better serve you.
Start a Return by Mail
Returns are a breeze at The Shopping Bag! All domestic orders ship with a prepaid return mailing label. To ship an item back to The Shopping Bag please:

  1. Start your return by visiting our returns portal.
  2. Input your order number and email address used during checkout.
  3. Select the item(s) and quantity you would like to return.
  4. Select if you would like a refund or store credit.
  5. Submit your return request.
Our customer care staff will reply to you by email within 3 business days with the required RMA number and a return label. Shipping costs for unwanted items are your responsibility and will be deducted from your refund. Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless it is reported damaged.
Tracking My Return
To track your return's status at any time:

  1. Visit our returns portal.
  2. Input your order number and email address.
  3. Click the 'Active Returns' link in the upper right corner.
  4. Click the order you are returning.
  5. Your return details will display include your confirmation number and current return status.

Please note, it may take up to 30 days to process your return. All updates will be sent to you by email.

Damaged Items

Every product undergoes careful inspection prior to shipment and is packaged for shipment with care. We strive in excellent customer service therefore if an item was damaged during shipment, please kindly contact our customer care team within 48 hours of receipt by email at When submitting your concern and please provide the following:

  1. Your full name
  2. Order number
  3. Item name and/or SKU # that you purchased
  4. The best contact email address
  5. Photos of the damage to the item(s)
  6. Photos of the interior and exterior packaging
We will then follow the process of the above return policy. Please note, we will not accept damage item return requests if not reported within 48 hours of receipt.
